This website is a portfolio for Ismael 'Izzy' Olivares, Texas Tech University alumnus and project manager at Jackson & McElhaney Architects, who's main philosophy is to show that practicality and poetry in architecture can be one and the same by understanding the relationship between people and form. At the moment the portfolio contains two main sections.
The archive portion is a timeline portfolio that serves as a catalogue of projects and endeavors from high school drafting courses through the Master's program. This database aims to record the progress and development of architectural notions and skill-sets.
The second portion 4 x 4 is a concentrated group of projects that explore the development of an architectural taxonomy through typological dissections with the help of a 4 ft. x 4 ft. grid. This process aims at promoting systems integration + modularity to improve efficiency and adaptability in architecture.
